For example, village information systems can encourage openness and community participation in the development process of the village. What’s more, information and communication systems aid governance by enhancing the speed, ease and accuracy with which government services are delivered. Furthermore, ICT can be utilised to limit the risk and impacts of natural disasters. In the wider context, ICT can be used to increase the capacity and knowledge of every citizen.
